生態環境部2025年2月12日稱，為推動解決噪聲污染問題，截至目前，全國共建設完成寧靜小區2132個。
China has completed the construction of 2,132 "quiet communities" across the country as part of its efforts to tackle noise pollution, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment said on February 12, 2025.

為推動解決群眾家門口的噪聲污染問題，共同維護居住小區生活環境和諧安寧，生態環境部推動打造一批“消除雜音、睡得安心”的寧靜小區。截至目前，全國共建設完成寧靜小區2132個，不斷提升群眾的生態環境獲得感、幸福感、安全感。
隨著藍天、碧水、凈土保衛戰取得顯著成效，噪聲污染問題逐漸成為制約生態文明建設與美麗中國建設的一個短板。防治噪聲污染，是事關群眾切身利益的大事。2024年生態環境部研究起草的《關于推進寧靜小區建設的指導意見（征求意見稿）》提出，打造一批“消除雜音、睡得安心”的寧靜小區；到2027年，各省（自治區、直轄市）寧靜小區建設評價管理體系基本完善；到2035年，寧靜小區成為居住小區的普遍標準。
近五年來，全國城市聲環境質量總體向好，聲環境功能區晝間、夜間達標率均呈現上升趨勢。為了連續監測聲環境質量，更科學地反映聲環境狀況，生態環境部推動功能區聲環境質量自動監測系統建設工作，截至2024年12月底，338個地級及以上城市完成4005個點位的自動監測系統建設。此外，依法逐步將排放工業噪聲的企業事業單位和其他經營者納入排污許可管理，推動排污單位申請取得排污許可證或者填報排污登記表。截至目前，約17.7萬家工業企業將噪聲納入排污許可證管理，“十四五”期間工業噪聲排污許可管理將實現全覆蓋。
