6月28日，十四屆全國人大常委會第三次會議決定:將8月15日設立為全國生態日。關于設立全國生態日的決定草案26日提請審議，28日獲表決通過。
China's top legislature has designated Aug 15 as National Ecology Day. A draft decision on establishing the day was submitted to a session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress for deliberation on Monday. It was passed on Wednesday.
